Reading Road
Streetscape Project
Construction began fall of 2008 on the
Reading Road Streetscape project and is a vital first major
step towards improving the North Avondale Business District.
Mitchell & Vine
Corridor Study
This was a study conducted by the
University of Cincinnati's Community Planning Department,
under the direction of Dr. Michael Romanos and in
Conjunction with the City of St. Bernard, North Avondale
Business Association and the North Avondale Neighborhood
Association. It's purpose was to identify the
neighborhood's best opportunities for strategic development,
based on an analysis of neighborhood conditions. These
included location, transportation network, physical
conditions, open space, social capital, housing, services
and neighborhood walkability. Understanding and
analyzing these factors are critical steps to developing a
factual basis on which to make strategic economic
development decisions. This study was completed in 2008.
